Find us in the Alps now…..
Yup, that’s where we will be the next 4 weeks, riding our favorite mountain passes on the BMW, hiking to see the marmottes and eagles, sipping coffee on a village square, enjoying the views from our balcony. So if you don’t hear much from us for a while….. that’s why…
No I am not Mr. Niceguy anymore…..
In a discussion that ensued on another website it was declared that ‘we’ in western Europe should be MORE tolerant towards others. It all started after France ‘cleaned up’ some illegal gipsy camps in THEIR country. Well, I’ve experienced the gipsies, or Roma’s, ever since my first visit to Romania…
You know you’re in France……
Spring!
We should NEVER let this ‘die’
‘This’ being our awesome mountain world. And it IS dying, melting, eroding, being polluted, being filled with ski lifts and snowboard ramps, parkings and ski run restaurants. But the again, who can stop ‘progress’ ? We’re now at 40 km’s from the mighty Mont Blanc and the ‘video’ below…

An Israeli Airport in the Alps
Errrrrrrm…… well, alright, not quite. Fact is that we ‘landed’ in our mountain retreat again last week and celebrated New Year here in the snow. But at the same time we’ve been working hard to get Ben Gurion for FSX ready, Tel Aviv’s airport modeled by David Rosenfeld of…
Snow is good!
Well, at least for the visitors statistics of my EuropeRides website. These past 2 weeks the site gets bombarded by people looking for road conditions in Europe, mainly in France. Looking at the stats it seems that UK residents are very interested in that one page of my website. Presumably…
Heading south soon
Yup, it is that time of year again. Time to start preparing to head south, where the days are longer and the roads more twisty. Mind you, we don’t necessarily need to travel to the Alps to get our share of snow, we’re fine here up north too now, thank…
Back from France
…. for a while, leaving again in 3 weeks. Lots of ‘stuff’ happened between now and the last post (and most of it was mentioned on Facebook already). To summarize; had several mishaps with trailer, motorcycle, back….. new car has a scratch already (no note as to who did it,…
French Biker Power !
Apparently the French politicians – like most of their counterparts all over the world – have nothing better to do than come up with anal retentive ideas. Recently one of them came up with the brilliant idea to forbid lane sharing by motorcycle riders. That means filtering in between (almost)…
Vacation or Work?
I tell you, this is a tough question. This year we’re in France for 6 weeks and no way I can be away from the Internet and my business for that long. So I brought the Flightsim PC and the notebook along, and 2 1Tb disk with most of my…
We’re back where we belong…
… at least for a few weeks. Speeding along our road up to the villages after having been down to the town in the valley for food shopping. More news when we have it…. and when the sun comes out !
Méribel, here we come !
Nina and I will be leaving tomorrow morning for our place in Les Allues. Weather isn’t good yet, but is said to clear during the week. Snow a-plenty, new snow tires under the Jeep, lots of new energy to find. Next message will be sent via our broadband connectin…
FSAddon’s progress…….
Yet another 3/4 of a day with heavy headaches hasn’t stopped me from making progress. I think I’ll open yet another blog, related to migraine only. That way I don’t have to bore you with it here. The good news is that Plum Island now looks VERY close to finishing…
See why I am happy !?
And we’re only halfway done I think…. after 18 months! But she flies, albeit with a borrowed flight model. I don’t know if I’ll attempt another aircraft after this one. Man, what an ordeal! But hopefully we’ll get her to be what I had in mind all along and…
More visitors !!!
I am happy. And amazed! My long-time Internet presence finally seems to start being felt…. the number of actual visitors to my sites is on the rise! For the combined FSAddon sites we’re nearing the ONE MILLION mark !!! And even the lesser-known sites, such as this blog, are…
