We returned home in Holland late last night after almost 15 hours on the road. Pretty leisure but very HOT drive (we left the motorbike behind for our second part of the trip in a few weeks). We ran into trouble in Belgium where we met traffic jams in three places, costing us at least an hour or so extra! Going to France would be much better if Belgium wasn’t in between….. and through Germany is 80 miles more at least, PLUS the road tax in Switzerland to add.
In France I dumped almost all of the ‘daily stuff’ on my 1Tb external drive, hooked it up on the main PC here, and and up and away running again. Including emails. I think I am ALMOST there regarding a dual setup to run in our two homes. Just the email still needs to be backed up and restored each time, but I could put that on the external drive as well of course. The only trouble with it is the speed over the USB connection (which keeps telling me it is not USB 2.0 while I KNOW it IS !).
Anyway, downloading the complimentary Windows 7 Ultimate copy now for installation on the 64-bit Dual core later this week. Then I can put FSX on that too, so I will still have some flying ability while the regular FSX PC sits in France (lucky thing!).

Well I’m just glad you got home safe and sound. Just in time to pass out some cash before heading off to jolly old England, eh? 😉
Cash will be transferred today…. England will have to wait, we’ll return to France first for another 3 weeks 🙂
