Lots of news

First of all…… Vivian is getting married !!!

And Menno too, for that matter….. our future son-in-law.
But not only are they getting married, they also are leaving for one of the Dutch Caribbean Islands; Aruba.
For THREE years ! Menno is getting a job there with the Dutch Government…… we’re still subsidizing this island apparently…. and its millionaire population <cough>.

More news: I am learning Tai Chi ! Our neighbor and friend Michel here in Les Allues acquired his Master Status last year and is now looking for pupils everywhere (his wife calls them ‘victims’)…. so I had my first session this morning.
I may be grinning about it and making tongue-in-cheek remarks, it may well have some good effect on my none-existent movement routines. And hence, be healthier than what I do now (apart from the skiing).

Last but not least: we skied. For days on end…. sort of. I am dead tired, everything is hurting, but truth be told, today was the third day and things are improving.
We also bought us some snow shoes and we’ll be using them when the good weather leaves us again….. tomorrow.
So far we’ve had some glorious days (photos coming, although I didn’t take the SLR up on the slopes so far), but weather next week will be bad.

And yes, FS activities are at a low currently…. I’m supposed to be relaxing here….. ummm….. 😉
