Would you believe it!?

There are even scams in the FS world these days !

It is in my face on Facebook all day long; an ad promising ‘the most releastic flight simulator ever made !!’.

So of course I was curious! Could someone have made a new flight simulator, without ANY sneak peeks, without the world knowing of a 60-man effort being pumped in for two years? Could it?

As always the old adage is true: if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

On closer looks, this is nothing but the old FREEWARE Flight Gear, that looks like FS2002 and probably is less than that. It is now called ProFlight Simulator. As a freeware project it was a valiant effort. As a payware product it is a scam and not worth even looking at it, let alone plunking down $ 50 !!!!

Not so much because freeware developers shouldn’t turn payware and ask some money for their efforts. No, it is a scam because of the nothing less than DISGUSTING choice of wording all through that one-page website, luring unwary customers into believing that they may have hit on something even better than Microsoft’s FSX.

Well, hate to disappoint you, but it doesn’t even come anywhere close. I just hope the guy selling it, can live with it. I couldn’t.

And you will excuse me for NOT putting up a link to their page.

Addendum: here’s a link to the REAL OWNERS of the software and their warning!
