Probably because of Zuckerberg’s wheeling and dealing with his Facebook crap, we now all have to put tons of wasted time in updating our ‘policies’, to humor bloody Junckers and his EU lackeys. GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulations, the new European Union fad. THEY have 10.000 f****ng bureaucrats with nothing else to do but come up with this shit, Google, Amazon and Facebook have 10.000 lawyers to stall implementation, but we one-man website and blog owners have to do all the work ourselves. So, I have updated the policies once again (remember the ‘cookies circus’?), and probably at some time will figure out what data should/could be deleted…. or not. As far as I know I only collect name and email from people IF THEY choose to enter it, and address data from customer to my webshop and Paypal payments. But all of that is collected on the respective databases of the service providers. NOT on my PC ! [...]

Tongass Fjords in P3D V4

All FSAddon products were originally made for FSX (SP2), without any guarantee to work in other ‘spinn-off’ programs such as Dovertail Games’ FSX-SE or Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D. Sure enough, most will still work, with or without ‘conversion tools’. But with P3D Version 4 things seem to have changed. Unfortunately there isn’t much chance of ‘adapting’ FSAddon products to the new FSX derivatives, simply because the authors are no longer with us. For our famous Tongass Fjords FSX however, there is an option to install it in P3D V4 anyway, thanks to the Misty Moorings group…. a bunch of customers (and fellow FS users) that have always been very active and supportive of FSAddon’s products. They now have published a ‘guide’ on how to adapt Tongass Fjords for P3D V3 and V4. It can be found on and downloaded from their website here ! Some news at last

This year hasn’t seen much activity on FSAddon, true. What with our arson case in February and subsequent 6 months of restoring the house, our selling of the house in The Netherlands and subsequent emigration to Italy…… all very stressful and time consuming. Then we had to shelve our DHC-3 Otter project because suddenly not one but three competitors magically appeared with one…. oh well. And now, my dear fellow simmers, I turned 65 back in October and am trying to wind down some of my businesses and activities. And I can confirm now, being ‘retired’ is more work than it is worth ! FSAddon will continue, but it will no longer be part of Silver Cloud Publishing, which was my ‘holding company’, hosting my other activities such as web design and hosting, photography, management consultancy and such. Silver Cloud Publishing is no more. I have embarked on a sim project of my OWN….. hopefully getting BACK into the hobby [...]
